Meet the Team

Dr. Ryan Barrett, D.O.

Dr. Ryan Barrett

Dr. Barrett received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2003 from Palmer College of Chiropractic.  He received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO.  He was a Presidential Scholar at Palmer College and a member of the Honors Program at MSSU.  Dr. Barrett married the love of his life, Kari, in 2001 and they now raise 2 children.  He is a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church and Past-President of the local Rotary Club.

Dr. Barrett became interested in NUCCA after watching his father avoid back surgery through this procedure.  As Dr. Barrett became a patient later that same year, his asthma that he had for over 10 years cleared up and was able to get off all of his medications about 1 month after receiving his first spinal correction. Because of those events, he dedicated his life to learning more about this procedure and sharing it with as many people as possible.  His greatest joy professionally is now witnessing others receive the same restoration to health he received years earlier.

Megan, Office Manager

Office Manager - Megan

Megan is the Office Manager at Barrett Spinal Care. She began working there in June of 2005. She began college at Northeastern State University in the fall of 2005 without any of idea of a major or career to go into. After working at Barrett Spinal Care for just a few short months, she soon realized she loved the medical field and would major in Health Care Administration.

Since middle school, Megan always suffered from migraine headaches that would put her in bed for the rest of the day and on occasion, would last 2-3 days.  After she began working at Barrett Spinal Care she started to talk to Dr. Barrett about the problems that she had for so long. She soon began treatments and noticed that she was not getting the migraines like she did before. Now she is able to not worry when the next migraine may appear and live life like normal.

She has lived in Tahlequah all her life and loves it because her family lives close by. She loves spending time with family and friends as much as possible, especially her two little nieces! Being outdoors on the farm is a favorite past time of hers, as well as spending time in the pool on a nice hot summer day. Megan has a soft spot in her heart for animals, especially her two  Shih Tzus, Boston and Jaxyn. Her favorite quote that she tries to live by is "Live Simply, Love Generously, Care Deeply, Speak Kindly, and leave the rest to God!"

Krista

Chiropractic Assistant - Krista

Krista initially came to Barrett Spinal Care for treatment as a patient because she had suffered with frequent and severe migraines since she was eight years old. She had seen several medical doctors, conventional chiropractors and taken countless types of medications throughout the years with little or no relief.  After speaking with a co-worker that was a patient at Barrett Spinal Care and had been treated for migraines, she decided to give Upper Cervical chiropractic a try.  After the first week of treatment, her migraines had decreased significantly and continued to decrease over time. What had once been two to four severe migraines per week is now only occasional and drastically less severe.

Krista has worked as the Chiropractic Assistant at Barrett Spinal Care since March 2008. Previously, she worked at Cherokee Nation for 7 years in several different departments, mainly the Health Services Department.  Krista has always loved helping people and enjoys being able to come to work and do so on a daily basis!

Krista is a Tahlequah native and has lived here her whole life. She loves spending time with family.
